Jano Ananidze is a Georgian creative midfielder, who has come through the youth ranks at Spartak Moscow of Russia. He is one of the bright young talents of Eastern European football, having made his debut for Spartak at the age of just 16. He also became the youngest ever goalscorer in the Russian Premier Division, after he netted against Lokomotiv Moscow just eight days after his 17th birthday. Despite his tender age, Ananidze has drawn interest from some of the leading clubs in Europe, including Liverpool, Aresenal, Juventus and A.C. Milan, although Dmitri Popov, Spartak's sporting director, has announced that the Russian side intend to hold onto the playmaker until he is at least in his twenties.

As if his footballing CV was not impressive enough already at his young age, Ananidze has already attained two caps for the Georgia national side, having made his international debut aged just 16. In truth, this may have been because the Russian FA had expressed an interest in making him a Russia international, but the youngster stated that he is Georgian and has no interest in playing for any other national side.

He is a very attack-minded player, getting forward a lot to support the attack. His touch is excellent, and he is not afraid to take players on or have a shot from range. He has an immense amount of confidence in his abillity, reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo at that age. He is very slight at just 5'7, but there is still time for him to fill out. It is an obvious comparison to make, but given his style of playand small physique, we could well be looking at the next Georgi Kinkladze.
