Bogdan Stancu is a 20 years old forward who plays for Steaua Bucuresti .
This summer he signed with Steaua Bucuresti, with a reported transfer fee of around 1,000,000 euros, but Stancu is still in co-ownership with Unirea Urziceni.
Previously he was bought from FC Arges ,the team where Adrian Mutu played for the first time and now he is compared by the Romanian newspapers with him because they have the same style and almost the same position.
He was watched by Atletico Madrid,Olympiacos , Celtic, Fiorentina and Chelsea but all the rumors were destroyed when he signed for Steaua because he said :

'I want to play at Steaua because I have the chance to play in Champions League , while for a team like Fiorentina or Chelsea I only have the chance to play in the cup matches.'
He plays for U-21 and the senior national teams.
He have 16 appearances and 6 goals (2 goals are against Italy and England) while for the senior team he have only one appearance on the subs bench in a friendly.
For Urziceni he played 49 matches and scored 11 goals while for Steaua he played 14 matches and with 8 goals scored he is the top-scorer of the team and this is his first season at Steaua , so I think that he still have enough time to improve his performances.
