Djakpa is one of the greatest talents who played in Romania.
He is LB and he arrived at Pandurii in 2007 during the summer transfer window and he played 28 matches for them , scoring 2 goals.
He was called at the senior national team for CAF 2008 (Oups! He play for Côte d'Ivoire )and he already played 4 matches for them at senior level.
He is still U-21 player and he played 17 matches and he scored 3 goals (2 of them at Toulon Tournament against USA and Chile and he was named into the best squad of the tournament).
This summer Bayer Leverkusen announced the signing of Djakpa for what is believed to be a sum of one million €.
He arrived at Pandurii from Sogndal IL (2nd league from Norway) for only 75000 €.
He said that he want to play in a better league but I think that the main problem was that the club had some problems with the chairman and they finished 12th.
At Leverkunsen he started in 7 or 8 matches this season and he made even an assist in the match against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , so he'll probably have even more chances to play for the club.
He played in the German Cup too and he played all 120 minutes , while for Cote d'Ivoire he played 7 minutes in the match against Mozambic , their latest match from the qualifiers for WC 2010.
